Sometimes I don’t make two posts in a week (trying to get better about that) much less two in one day, but I thought I would add a second one today. I’ve really enjoyed having a group to train with the past few weeks, and I think it’s making the daily grind of training a lot more fun and easier for all of us while increasing the quality at the same time. That said, our group, which I hope will not only stay together but even grow, has had a pretty good past couple of weeks. Below are the results. We must be doing something right – ha, ha.
6/6: Andy Sayers, 1st place in the Trail Nut Half Marathon in 1:34:56. Pay no attention to the time. Between the course being rough, muddy, and long, times are out the window.
6/13: Andrew Parkins, 1st place in the Highland Hills 5k in 17:44. This was a three-peat for Mr. Parkins, and times can also be thrown out the window on this one (they don’t call it Highland HILLS for nothing).
6/13: Matthew Wright, 6th place (1st in AG) in the Varmint Half Marathon in 1:25:38. Another tough course and a well-deserved sheep trophy for Matthew!
Good job guys and congrats! I look forward to hammering out many more miles with you and watching all of us get faster.
