Finally a second to put up a post. Beach trip is going great. We've had good weather, and while the fishing has been better, we've been catching enough to keep it interesting. On the training front, I'm having a good week. Probably ran as hard and fast as I have in quite a while on Tuesday and had another solid workout today.
Anyway, I missed getting a training summary up for last week, so here it is.
Mon - Just over 40 min on the Hanging Rock Trail
Tue - 15 min w-up, 6X2 min hill repeats, 10+ min c-down
Wed - 30 min, 40 min steady state, 20 min (for a total of 90 min)
Thu - Just over 40 min around Salem
Fri - Around 60 min including a few strides
Sat - 40 min before leaving for the beach
Sun - Just over 90 min with an overall avg of 6:31/mile
Total: Not sure; don't really care. Put in the work and did what I needed to do and that's all that matters!
Not gonna go into any more details than that because I already recapped most of the important runs in other posts. It was a good week and I'm definitely making progress. I just wish I didn't have so far to go. Part of the fun is the journey, though, so I'll just press on!
