31-30. 332/3. 4-0. That would be A) the final score of WVU's win over UNC just a few minutes ago in the Meineke Car Care Bowl, B) the number of passing yards and touchdowns thrown by Pat White in that game, and C) White's record as a starting QB in bowl games, the only player in NCAA history to achieve that feat. Awesome! Kaitlyn was asleep on the couch during the second half, so I was having a hard time controlling my celebrations when they scored the go ahead touchdown with 7:07 to go and then got that interception by Lazear with less than 2 minutes to play to seal the win. Good stuff! It looked like UNC had the game under control until they turned the ball over and in an instant everything changed. That's what makes college football so fun in my opinion, although I might have a different view had things not turned out like they did.
Speaking of numbers, I did my first run with my Garmin Forerunner 405 today and all I can say is VERY cool, especially the stuff you can look at when you download the data to your computer. I was able to look at a graph that showed my pace and heart rate at any point in the run and how they fluctuated throughout, see my mile splits, average pace, average heart rate, etc., look at the elevation profile, and review any number of other things. As I get more proficient and learn all the features and how to best use them, I think I'll have a very good training tool at my disposal. It was also very light and easy to use during the run. It's bigger than a standard watch, but not much, and unlike my old GPS unit it locked onto the satellites within 10 seconds of turning it on and I was ready to go. Nice! My initial impression is that it will be everything I hoped it would and maybe even more.
Run today went pretty well. I'm starting to run a more reasonable pace for me (as in a little under 7 min/mile instead of well over) and beginning to feel more comfortable while doing it. I've got a ridiculously long way to go but at least I'm headed in the right direction and also feeling good and enjoying it. I'm hoping to run close to an hour tomorrow morning, which should be a good test (as sad as that is). Anyway, that's it for me. Time to go watch WVU vs Ohio State in basketball and continue putting the house back together from our big Christmas celebration.
