Bank of Fincastle Pics

Below are a few pics from the Bank of Fincastle 10k.

1) Here I am doing strides before the race. Feeling good at this point!

2) This is just after the start. There's a ridiculous number of people ahead of me at this point. I always find it amusing how fast people go out at this race. It happens everywhere, but this one seems especially bad and is even worse based on the fact that the race opens with a 3/4 mile hill!

3) Below is what finishing a 10k when you're out of shape and have a broken foot looks like. Yes, it's as painful as it looks.

4) Here are the 10k overall winners. Kaitlyn came up with me and grabbed the hardware right away. She carried it back to Leslie and said, "Mommy, look what WE won!" As you can tell by the expression on her face, she was quite pleased.

5) And finally, here's Andrew and me with our trophies. We both repeated as overall winners, him taking the 5k and me the 10.
